12 Karma laws that will change your life

Tom Cross

We are all part of the same universe. The universe, in turn, is responsible for distributing destinies to all of us living beings that inhabit it. Our destiny is already written, but how we act until we reach it depends on each one of us. And our actions generate consequences, also known as karmas.

Karmas are nothing more and nothing less than the reaction for every action. Everything we do generates good, bad or neutral consequences. To understand karma means to understand and accept that nothing happens by chance and that there is no such thing as luck or bad luck.

But there is much more to know about karma than just what it is, and knowing about karma and its laws helps us live more smoothly, fully, and fluidly. So let's learn more about the 12 laws of karma? Believe me, they can change the way you see the world, and consequently change your life.

The main law of karma

Cause and consequence: everything you do generates consequences. In other words, what you do will come back to you, either in the same way you did it yourself, or in another way that is justly valid. For example: if you want a sincere relationship, don't lie, and if you want peace, be peaceful. It is no use wishing for goodness if you do evil (even if it is to repay an injustice or to avenge something thathappened, for example).

The law of creation

It's no good just standing around and waiting for something to happen in your life. You have to be part of it for your destiny to be consummated. Be you - but really, the best version of you. Don't forget that your life is literally yours, and therefore you deserve to live it the way you want, as long as you remember the former law: what you do comes back to you.

That is, everything that should be yours, but you refuse because you really and truly think it doesn't deserve to be, will continue to be yours until your spirit understands that it is the right time to accept it. So don't be in a hurry. Have the humility to recognize that you are not yet ready for certain things.

The law of growth in karma

It doesn't matter where you are, have been, or will be, just as it doesn't matter who is, has been, or will be around you. Your spiritual growth depends solely and exclusively on you. When we understand this and begin to grow in a sincere way, our life follows the growth of our spirit.

The law of accountability

If there is something wrong in your life, that means there is something wrong in you. Everything that is in your life is your responsibility, you accept or reject what is around you and your decisions will inevitably reflect what will happen to you.

The law of connection and karma

Everything in the universe is connected - nature, human beings, animals, technology, absolutely everything, so even inconsequential actions have consequences for the person who did them and for everything and everyone around that person - in this case, you.

The law of focus

You should not think about two things at the same time. Your mind deserves to focus on only one subject at a time, whatever it may be. When our focus is money, it is impossible to try to evolve spiritually. When our focus is evolving spiritually, it is impossible to think about material possessions.

The law of giving and hospitality

Giving means helping others, even if they are less fortunate than you. But more than that, giving shows that you care about making the world more equal and fair - of course donations should be directed to those who really need them.

The law of the here and now

Living in the past prevents us from experiencing the true sensations of feelings and emotions. In other words, being stuck in the past, in the customs, rules and thoughts of old times, limits us to live a lifeless life. You only exist, but you don't feel, you don't live, and you don't experience.

The law of change in karma

If something bad happens again and again in your life, know that it will keep happening until you learn the lesson you need to learn in order to change it - and this can happen with very small things or very big things.

The law of patience and reward

For there to be a reward, there must be previous work. That is, you will not be rewarded - no matter in what area of life - when you don't work to make it happen. And the best rewards come when we are doing what we should be doing.

The law of inspiration and meaning in karma

Everything that comes to you is a result of what you have done in your life. The true value of something or something is, for you, a direct result of the energy you have deposited in the situation or object in question - in other words, the meaning of each thing in the universe varies for each person.
