Francisco Cândido Xavier, better known as Chico Xavier, was born in 1910 in Pedro Leopoldo, a small town in the interior of Minas Gerais. Throughout his life, he became known as a medium and philanthropist and became one of the greatest representatives of the spiritist doctrine in Brazil and in the world.

He began working as a medium at the age of 17, and during his life he wrote about 450 books. More than a decade after his death, Chico Xavier is still present in the lives of many people through his teachings and messages of faith and hope.
