It is a popular saying, and is used to say that A person skilled in a certain thing does not use this skill to his advantage.

I confess that when I hear someone using this phrase as excuse or justification for something, I end up getting a little annoyed.

Who doesn't know an accountant who leaves his income tax return for the last minute, a mechanic who doesn't take care of his car, a doctor who doesn't take care of his health, or a hairdresser who has no hair? A therapist who has never done therapy, a coach who has never done coaching, a nutritionist who eats junk food, or a dermatologist who doesn't use sunscreen?

Being congruent is nothing more than having harmony and alignment between what you think, feel, speak, and do. We are all in a constant learning process, and of course, from time to time, I find myself in chorus with incongruence.

Sometimes, the distance between knowing and applying is long, and during this path, we end up slipping many times. However, I believe that we should not resign ourselves to this popular saying, but rather seek every day to live the challenges of a congruent life in practice.

Practicing congruence makes us more secure, confident, and greatly strengthens our self-esteem after all, It is much easier to live with a person who does what he says he is going to do and who values his own thoughts.

Stop for a moment and think about what your life would be different if there was more congruence in your daily life. If this thought scares you, and if putting into practice what you think or feel can be harmful and bring negative results in your life, seek help to take care of your mind.

Take care of yourself with love, so that congruence can bear good fruit for you and for the world.
