How to arrive
By Car: Access to the Sian Ka’an Reserve via Costa Maya, reaching Punta Herrero should be done with an all terrain vehicle seeing as to how the road is unpaved after passing Mahahual and Uvero for about 32 km. This route begins leaving Chetumal via 186 highway (Chetumal/Villahermosa) and following it onto the 307 (Chetumal/Cancun). Continue on the road for approximately 50 minutes and take the turn of at Cafetal-Mahahual on the right hand side, follow this road until arriving at a gas station where we highly recommend refilling your tank before proceeding.
