  • 2 ripe dwarf bananas;
  • 1 tsp brown, demerara, organic sugar or honey (you can substitute with 2 tsp oven and stove sweetener);
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder;
  • 1 tsp. orange zest
  • water at room temperature, if necessary.

You will prepare it like this:

Cut the bananas into thin slices and cook them over medium heat in a thick-bottomed pan, preferably non-stick. Add the vanilla, sugar or honey, cinnamon powder and orange zest. Mix well and monitor the cooking so as not to burn the jam, until the bananas fall apart. If you notice that it is too consistent without the fruit falling apart, carefully add a little water inOnce the banana has become a paste, you can turn off the heat. Put it in a bowl or in individual bowls. It is perfect to accompany a slice of white cheese or a healthy oatmeal cookie.

Mix well and monitor the cooking until the bananas fall apart. If you notice that they are sticking without falling apart, carefully add a little water at room temperature. Add the cocoa as soon as the candy is almost ready(a homogeneous paste) and mix well. When everything is well blended, turn off the heat. It's ready and very fragrant! Put it in a bowl or in individual glasses. It is perfect to accompany fresh ripe strawberries.
