Kuan Yin is the Chinese goddess of compassion and mercy, the bodhisattva of unconditional love, and the ascended teacher of the violet flame that transmutes karma.

Her energy emanates sweetness, lightness, wisdom and sublime love, stimulating us to appreciate life in its fullness, so that we recognize ourselves in deep connection with the Universe. Her compassion for all beings invites us to feel peace, bliss and joy. She symbolizes the maternal protection, the ever-present affection, the humility to recognize how interdependent we are on each other.and the grace of the Creator.

The legends about her express the noble virtues of a loving and compassionate heart, a heart that endures and accepts pain in order to transmute it into pure light and mercy.

In one of her legends, we contemplate how she was able to forgive and save the life of her father, who tried to murder her and did everything to make her give up the path to enlightenment. Enduring the harshest of trials, Kuan embraced her soul's purpose, even against her father's will. Kuan Yin invites us to accept things as they are, so that we can understand the needs of our own soul. From there, reaching awareness of what is really important for our evolution, she helps us transmute our feelings, our thoughts, and our attitudes, so that we can flourish, growing in grace and wisdom.

In her representations, in sculptures or paintings, her serene countenance welcomes our soul with affection. From the center of the lotus flower, she inspires us to offer the best of ourselves, under any circumstances. Even born in the mud, the lotus flower emanates its perfume and radiates its beauty, symbolizing the transmutation of shadows into pure light.

Kuan Yin enhances natural healing and strengthens the practices of Reiki, Acupuncture, Tui-Na, among other therapies. Its healing system acts in the heart chakra, promoting body and mind balance, so that the vital energy flows in harmony, in body-soul-spirit alignment.

Chanting the mantra "Namo Kuan Shih Yin Pusa," which means "I call for the bodhisattva Kuan Yin, the one who sees and hears the suffering of the world," is a way to feel the powerful, sweet energy of this loving, compassionate mother. For those who wish to manifest dreams and transmute feelings, the suggestion is to chant the mantra 108 times.

There is another mantra with which we can tune into Kuan Yin's powerful energy: "Om Mani Padme Hum". This mantra is attributed to her and is known as the mantra of great compassion. It means: 'Oh, jewel of the lotus' or 'from mud springs the lotus flower'.
