Have you ever strongly identified with an animal in the course of your life? Realizing that some habits of cats or dogs, for example, are similar to yours is not mere coincidence. Have you ever heard of Power Animal? This is what this deeper approach between humans and animals is all about.

Within Shamanism, the concept "Power Animal" represents the energy that an animal offers us for our life trajectory. It is as if it were an ally for us to develop spiritually, as well as in several areas of personal life. Read on and be enchanted by the power of animals!

Getting to Know Shamanism

Shamanism has different definitions, but all with a single objective: to connect with nature and with the sacred. Some people see it as a spiritual belief and others as a philosophy of life. Even with different visions or nomenclatures, the focus of shamanic practices is to promote a deep knowledge to the being, so that he/she can find in him/herself the cure for the ills that afflict him/her.in the spiritual or personal realm of your life.

The teachings of this philosophy are based on analyses and observations made from nature and all the signs it gives to human beings: natural manifestations, Fire, Earth, Air, Water (which are the four elements), stones, animals, plants, rain, among others. In the case of Power Animals, Shamanism has them as energetic forces, as beings from the spiritual plane that act as mentorsEvery characteristic of an animal is brought out in an individual, which results in a high spiritual essence - it is a deep and extensive connection with nature.

What are Power Animals?

Considered archetypes or manifestations that act as spiritual mentors, the Power Animals are basically animals formed by energy, representing the behavior or personality of each individual. Each person has their own, which appear to ratify their experiences or to give a sign that something needs to be changed or done in their life.

According to Shamanism, a Power Animal will accompany the individual until the end of his or her life, serving as an energetic guide that strengthens and instructs the steps and spirituality. Shamanic therapist Fernanda Shakti says that a specific animal adopts us into the spiritual plane at the very moment we are born, but even though it is always with us, it needs to be awakened.

These animals are extremely important in our lives, mainly so that we can evolve. Since they represent a part of our own being that needs to be reached and rescued, we need to find them in order to feel complete, to reach our inner power and to be always aware of our level of consciousness, besides this discovery being one of themost valuable initiations of Shamanism.

And how do I find out my Power Animal?

First you will need the help of a Shaman Master, who will be the facilitator and the person who will confirm your meeting with your Power Animal. Some people decide to seek their guide by themselves, but since personal tastes and ego usually interfere in this search, it is important that a Shaman practitioner be your helper, so there will be no interference or choices by affinity.

It's important to point out that not always your Power Animal will have points in common with your behavior or personality. In some cases, it will be exactly what you need, bringing the necessary teachings for your personal development. If you find that your animal is one that you never felt affinity with, know that it has the necessary energies for you to developyour qualities at the present moment of your life.

You will search for your animal with your master, from the shamanic teachings. Once you find it, you will learn how to use its energies. Don't think that this learning will be from one hour to another, or that you will know how to deal with your animal! According to its specific characteristics, you will invoke it for different purposes, such as protection and healing, for example.
